ARTIST BOOKS

Many final year students and a smaller number of Masters students have undertaken artists books in the Print Workshop. Mostly printed in small editions, they often feature unusual paper stock, and innovative folding & binding mechanisms. Staff member Brendon Deacy, undertook his Masters project in the department, the principle outcome of which was ‘The State We’re Out’ and went on to produce a second substantial artists book ‘A Life in Relief’. Currently two MA students, Mary Plunkett and Jamie Murphy (both graduates of the Department of Visual Communication), are undertaking MA research projects in the Print Workshop.
